The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant federal and state regulations, as well as maintaining a robust consumer compliance program. This pivotal role involves providing expert guidance on regulatory changes, leading compliance training initiatives, and conducting compliance monitoring in high-risk areas. The Chief Compliance Officer will also serve as a key liaison during regulatory examinations and audits, and will be tasked with reviewing and approving various materials for compliance.Applicants for the Chief Compliance Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, with a graduate degree from a banking school strongly preferred. A minimum of 3 years' regulatory compliance experience, including at least 2 years in consumer lending compliance, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of federal and state consumer compliance laws, with familiarity in areas such as Fair Lending, CRA regulations, BSA, AML, and KYC being preferred. A CRCM certification is also desirable.
