Director of Sales - Atlantis Division
Job Summary:The Director of Sales will manage the sales for the Atlantis Rail Division and create a competitive advantage for the company in the markets and industries serviced. The Director of Sales responsibilities include generating sales plans, channel development, developing pricing strategies, general oversight of sales and customer service personnel, key account management, and the development of independent outside representatives.A successful Director of Sales will have strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, and possess an in-depth knowledge and understanding of sales, particularly in the building products and construction sector.Job Responsibilities:Promote the company’s existing brands and introduce new products to the marketPrepare and analyze business development plans, annual budget plans, and schedule expendituresForecast and develop annual sales quotas for territories and ensure the sales team meets their quotas and goalsResearch and develop marketing opportunities and plans, understanding consumer requirements, identify market trends, and suggest system improvement to achieve the company’s short-term and long-term goalsGather, investigate, and summarize market data and trends to draft reportsTrack competitive products, identify vulnerabilities, and plan to minimize impact to salesCapitalize on market opportunities to improve product marketability and coordinate on new product developmentRecruit, train, and manage sales team as well as estimating staffMonitor efforts of the outside sales representatives to ensure sales objectives are being metEstablish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships with customers and dealersDevelop programs for channels and specific dealers, conduct reviews and initiate corrective actionsParticipate in the pricing strategy and implementationExpedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfactionTrack and manage all commercial projects and conduct onsite inspections as neededAssess warranty claims and consult with Engineering Manager on dispositionStay current in the industry by attending conferences and workshops, trade shows, reading publications, and maintaining professional networksMaximize usage of sales and marketing tools and resources such as CRM / ERPQualifications & Skills:A bachelor’s degree in business management, or related field required (MBA preferred)Minimum 15 years’ progressive success and experience in salesMinimum 10 years’ experience in management and leadership rolesExperience in the building products and construction industry preferredAdvanced understanding and knowledge of sales and marketingProven history of successful business planning, sales strategy, and execution to achieve objectivesPrevious employment experience with ISO Quality System.Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skillsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skillsKnowledge of data analysis and report writingProficient in general computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office productsIntegrate marketing efforts to support sales goalsExperience with INFOR SxE or CSD platform a plusNO RECRUITER PLEASE
