The Director of Operational Excellence & Quality must be a dynamic and strategic leader capable of driving continuous improvement and ensure the highest standards of quality across our organization. This key leadership role will be highly visible with a tremendous opportunity to oversee the development and execution of operational excellence strategies, quality management systems, and process improvements to enhance overall efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.Job Duties & Responsibilities Develop & implement the operational excellence and quality strategy aligned with the company’s vision and business goals Provide leadership and direction to teams focused on quality management, process improvement, and operational efficiency Identify and analyze areas for process improvement and implement best practices to optimize operational performance in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost Lead and manage cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing productivity, reducing waste, and improving overall process efficiency Utilize tactical hands-on approach to implement business operating systems using manufacturing best practices such as 5S, Daily Visual Management, Kaizen, Leader Standard Work, and A3 Problem Solving Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management systems and standards Create a culture of quality improvement using RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) for customer escapes, in process defects / internal scrap, and vendor supplied non-conforming material / components Utilize Daily Visual Management tools to drive team engagement, problem solving, and accountability to the shop floor levelKnowledge, Skills And Abilities Deep understanding of Lean manufacturing principles Demonstrated experience implementing SQDC and RCCM methodologies Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and internal policies, including ISO, or other relevant frameworks. Ability to develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and quality metrics Use data-driven insights to decision-making and identify areas for improvement Strong analytical, written and oral communication skillsCompetencies Required Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies that improve operational processes and align with the company's goals. A strong orientation towards meeting and exceeding customer expectations, ensuring that operational improvements enhance customer satisfaction Leadership and Management: Strong leadership skills to inspire and guide teams towards achieving operational excellence. This includes talent development, performance management, and team building. Being flexible and able to adapt to new challenges, technologies, and evolving business environments. Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate vision, strategy, and expectations clearly to a variety of stakeholders Process Improvement Expertise: Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Toyota Production System. Understanding of financial metrics and how operational improvements can impact the bottom line Project Management: Proficiency in managing projects from conception through implementation, including setting timelines, coordinating teams, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Skills in managing organizational change, including the ability to communicate effectively, address resistance, and ensure that changes are sustainable. Ability to work effectively across different departments and with various stakeholders to achieve operational goals Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management systems and standards, such as ISO 9001, and how they can be applied to improve operations. Ability to analyze complex data, processes, and systems to identify areas for quality improvement and measure the impact of changesMinimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering or Operations Management 10 – 15 years of experience in operational excellence & quality management Proven track record in leadership and strategic management Strong understanding of quality management systems, process improvement methodologies, and operational best practices Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S
