Matlab Developer - Model based Development - Powertrain/HIL

Job Title: MBD developerLocation: Columbus, INJob- Type: Full-TimeJob Description:We are seeking a skilled HIL Test Engineer to support engine systems development and validation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for simulation-based testing, validation, and documentation of engine control features using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) methodologies.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain technical documentation including tuning guides, test plans, test reports, and certification documents for engine system features.Analyze problem statements and support system-level solution development for software change requests.Develop and review software requirements using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.Build and support feature-level simulation models for validation activities.Perform software validation using Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, including both open-loop and closed-loop testing.Execute and support bench testing activities (remote access provided) to validate system functionality and performance.Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate implementation and verification of control strategies.Required Skills & Qualifications:Strong experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and StateflowHands-on experience in HIL/MIL testing and validationUnderstanding of embedded systems and engine control systemsExperience with test automation and simulation environmentsStrong analytical and debugging skillsGood documentation and communication skills
