Position Summary
This position is located within the TMMK plant in Georgetown, KY. Responsibilities include the day-to-day inventory control and customer interfacing as it relates to the TMMK Production System. This position supports the TMMK Parts Control and Conveyance/Overseas Logistics Section in charge of import and export inventory control.
Position Responsibilities:
Coordinate TMMK plant moves with partner carrier specific to the shuttle and switching operation.
Update the VASCOR Performance Tracking System with ocean carrier information for TMMK, TMMI, & TMMWV
Update the VASCOR Performance Tracking System with daily partner carrier moves for TMMK & TMMWV.
Update Toyota Pipeline system with ocean carrier information.
Create and update reports for the daily balancing of TMMK inventory.
Coordinate communications and other needs between TMMK/TMMWV and ocean carriers and TMMK/TMMWV and partner carriers.
Control inventory of empty containers by carrier to support the TMMK exporting schedule.
Update the TMMK container trans-load schedule.
Create paperwork, including hazardous documentation for TMMK export shipments.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Education
Associates or High School degree or GED preferred.
Training
N/A
Skills
Excellent data entry skills (proficiency may be tested).
PC skills required (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Knowledge of VASCOR PTS system and Toyota Pipeline system.
Experience
1-2 years of transportation industry experience preferred.
Knowledge of the Toyota Production System a plus.
