Employee Health Specialist

Mercy Flights is accepting applications for a full-time Employee Health Specialist!Mercy Flights is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Employee Health Specialist to join our Safety & Emergency Preparedness department. This pivotal role supports the administration and development of employee health initiatives, while working closely with the Human Resources team to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with occasional overtimeTravel: Primarily local; occasional out-of-area travel for trainingKey Responsibilities:Develop, administer, and revise employee health procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices.Coordinate modified duty and return-to-work processes in collaboration with HR.Manage infection control matters, including vaccination compliance and health screenings.Oversee occupational health tasks, such as drug screens and physical evaluations.Handle ergonomic evaluations, respiratory protection programs, and Job Hazard Analysis.Assist with safety and wellness activities and support the Safety Officer & EP & EH Supervisor with audits and special projects.Essential Qualifications:High School Diploma or Equivalent required; a minimum of two years’ experience in a healthcare setting preferred, with prior EMS experience a plus.Current AEMT certification or higher is required.Advanced computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, web-based applications) and excellent customer service skills.Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and uphold professional standards.How to apply:Apply online at: www.mercyflights.com.
