Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in thermal and electromechanical products, is seeking a Cost Reduction Engineer to join their team. As a Cost Reduction Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and excellent collaboration abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title:Cost Reduction EngineerLocation:York, PennsylvaniaPay Range:$80,000 - $115,000What's the Job?Identify, develop, and implement material, labor, and warranty cost reduction initiatives across product lines without compromising safety, performance, durability, or compliance. Drive measurable savings through value engineering, design-to-cost, supplier collaboration, and manufacturing process improvements. Build and manage a pipeline of cost-reduction projects from ideation through analysis, implementation, and sustainment. Reduce warranty exposure by eliminating failure modes with design, process, and supplier corrective actions. Improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency using Lean, Kaizen, and Toyota Production System principles. What's Needed?Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical) or equivalent experience with demonstrated technical depth. 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in HVAC or related thermal systems. Experience with components/processes such as heat exchangers, sheet metal fabrication, electrical panel layout, and harness routing. Ability to perform cost analysis and translate findings into actionable engineering changes. Strong CAD capability with proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, or Vault.
