Maintenance Technician
***Job Functions & Duties***
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on various equipment and systems including fryers, holding units, HVAC and refrigeration equipment. Preferred HVAC licensed/certified but willing to review experience.
Conduct inspections to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency including responding to emergencies during nights and weekends for critical repairs (unsafe or hazardous conditions and/or equipment essential to continued operations).
Perform building and equipment preventative maintenance.
Have basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems with the ability to perform simple repairs on items such as outlets, power cords and replacement of faucets.
Fabricate and weld parts as needed.
Execute effective administrative processes to schedule and track repairs, maintain parts and supplies inventory and complete credit card expenses weekly.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
Supervise and coordinate contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
***Qualifications***
Must be able to communicate well and work around restaurant staff
High school diploma or equivalent.
HVAC certification preferred.
Must have a clean DMV record.
Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
Minimum of two years previous experience in maintenance or a related field.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Familiarity with restaurant equipment and POS systems is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
