This is a fantastic chance to make a real difference in a supportive environment while experiencing the beauty of this welcoming region.What this opportunity offers:Long-Term Potential: Make a lasting impact with an ASAP start date and ongoing availability to meet our growing needs.Fast-Paced Environment: Thrive in a dynamic setting with a manageable patient volume of approximately 300 patients every 4-5 days.Supportive Team: Collaborate with mid-level providers and a dedicated team of specialists readily available for consultation.Predictable Schedule: Enjoy a balanced schedule with varied 12-hour shifts (6 am - 6 pm), offering single coverage with backup support.Advanced Technology: Leverage your familiarity with Meditech, the EMR system used at our facility.Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive emergency care to adult and pediatric patients, performing necessary evaluations and procedures.Develop effective treatment plans and collaborate with mid-level providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Supervise and mentor mid-level providers, fostering a collaborative and learning environment.Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Meditech EMR system.Actively participate in house code responses alongside other healthcare professionals.Qualifications for Success:Board certification in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) is preferred. However, we are also open to Family Medicine (ABFM) or Internal Medicine (ABIM) board certification with extensive emergency medicine experience (1000/2 year case log required).Valid Texas medical license to practice medicine without restrictions.Current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, and PALS to demonstrate your commitment to patient safety.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.Leadership skills to effectively supervise and mentor mid-level providers.This is a remarkable opportunity for a motivated and experienced emergency medicine physician to make a significant impact on patient care in a growing Texas community.
