Sous Chef

We are looking for someone who has multiple years experience managing BOH teams and kitchens. We need someone who is able to turn the tides and get keep our quality standards elevated. The position itself isn't too difficult but as our Pearl location is our busiest store we need someone who can handle and thrive in high stress situations, leading their teams to success and keeping moral raised.About JAC Bakery LLCEvery item that we put out is handmade with the utmost care and attention to detail. Each ingredient is treated with the proper respect and thoughtfulness it deserves and we would love to have you on board!DescriptionDutiesSupervise daily food production activities, ensuring high-quality culinary standards are met consistentlyLead and motivate kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and support personnel, fostering teamwork and professional growthOversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and sanitation standardsManage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing wasteCreate and publish schedules, approve time cardsOversee shift management, ensuring smooth operations during busy periods and effective staff schedulingHold staff accountable and execute proper disciplinary proceduresRequirementsProven experience in dining environments with a strong background in food production and kitchen managementSupervising experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting with demonstrated leadership skillsExtensive knowledge of food safety practices and dietary considerationsStrong skills in inventory management, schedule creation and food handling proceduresHands-on experience with food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary innovation -- Ideally has their own laptop available.Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detailExcellent communication skills to lead teams effectively and ensure seamless service delivery.
