While strong database skills and experience in Microsoft tools are core requirements, this position is intentionally open-ended and will play a key role in shaping how we leverage modern technologies—including generative AI—to improve internal operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and problem solver who is comfortable working across both structured data (enterprise databases) and unstructured data (documents, SharePoint content), and is eager to build practical solutions that make information more accessible and actionable for the business. Your responsibilities will include:Design, manage, and optimize enterprise databases (Microsoft SQL Server)Work within a Microsoft-based environment, including SharePoint and Azure-hosted systemsCreate and Maintain SharePoint Sites, Lists, and LibrariesDevelop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutionsBuild and improve internal tools, workflows, and automationTroubleshoot and enhance existing systems and processesCollaborate with business stakeholders to translate needa into technical solutionsIdentify and implement opportunities to leverage modern technologies, including generative AIEnable intelligent search, retrieval, and summarization of internal data and documentsIntegrate structured and unstructured data to improve decision-makingPrototype and iterate on new solutions that improve internal efficiency and knowledge accessRequired Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT and/or similar fields Strong database skills (SQL Server, relational design, query optimization)Experience working in a Microsoft-based environment (e.g., SharePoint, Power BI, Azure exposure)Strong problem-solving ability and analytical thinkingSelf-starter with the ability to take ownership and operate in an open-ended roleAbility to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersDevelopment experience (e.g., Python, C#, APIs, or similar)Must be able to work onsite at our Chantilly, VA HQMust be a US Citizen, we cannot sponsor work visasPreferred QualificationsExposure to or interest in generative AI and document-based search solutionsExperience building internal tools or automating business processesFamiliarity with handling unstructured data (documents, file systems, SharePoint content)Company DescriptionTechnical Services for US Government Civil and Defense AgenciesCompany DescriptionTechnical Services for US Government Civil and Defense Agencies
