Accounting Manager

We're partnering with a growing, private equity-backed investment firm seeking an Accounting Manager (CPA preferred) to lead a team and oversee the month-end close process. This role offers strong visibility and the opportunity to work closely with an experienced and supportive leader.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate general ledger activity in accordance with GAAPReview and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analysesMaintain ownership of the general ledger, including variance analysis and flux explanations across the P&L and balance sheetSupport technical accounting matters, including complex transactions and application of GAAP/IFRS guidanceAssist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packagesPartner with auditors and support external and internal audit processesCollaborate cross-functionally with Finance and Operations to ensure accurate financial reportingMentor and develop staff accountants, reviewing work and providing guidance on accounting treatmentDrive process improvements within the close cycle, including automation and system enhancementsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred5–8+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong technical accounting knowledge and interpersonal skills
