Senior Substation Engineer
We are currently accepting resumes for a Senior Substation Engineer to support our expanding utility consulting services business. The Work
Responsibilities
Design & Analysis: Lead the design and development of complex electrical substations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and optimizing performance. Conduct detailed technical analyses and troubleshooting.
Compliance & Inspection: Ensure substation compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations. Conduct site visits, perform fieldwork, participate in regulatory reviews and inspections, and address compliance issues.
Collaboration: Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, contractors, and stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing technical inquiries, presenting project updates, and ensuring client satisfaction. Support construction planning.
Project Management: Manage multiple substation projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, adapt to changing project requirements, and ensure timely project delivery within budget constraints.
Skills & Experience
Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, power systems, and substation design.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office Suite.
Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 7+ years of relevant experience; PE designation preferred.
PMP certification and advanced coursework in power systems are a plus.
This position will require relocation to one of our Maine offices, Augusta or Portland.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
