Through hands-on training, mentorship, and a culture of internal promotion, we empower you to reach your full potential and contribute to projects that truly matter.Job SummaryThe Fontana Warehouse & Yard Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all warehouse, receiving, finished good shipments, yard, and material request operations supporting the Fontana manufacturing facility. This role ensures accurate receiving, inspection, inventory transactions, material staging, yard organization, and replenishment activities while maintaining alignment between physical inventory and ERP system accuracy.The role also acts as the operational lead for all Fontana warehouse support functions including Receiving, Cable Cage, Tool Crib, VMI programs, inter-site material transfers, and outdoor yard material management.This position partners closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Material Planning, Inventory Control, and Supply Chain leadership to ensure material availability, proper storage practices, accurate inventory transactions, and safe/organized facility operations.Warehouse Operations LeadershipLead daily warehouse and yard operations for the Fontana facilityCoordinate workload and priorities across warehouse support functionsEnsure timely execution of receiving, put-away, staging, and replenishment activitiesMonitor operational performance and resolve workflow bottlenecksEnsure alignment between warehouse activities and production schedulesSupport labor prioritization based on production demand and material urgencySupervise all outbound shipments of finished goodsReceiving & Inbound Material ManagementEnsure all inbound materials are properly received and documentedValidate packing slips, certifications, and shipping documentationEnsure ERP transactions are completed accurately and timelyCoordinate inspection and material verification activitiesEnsure all documentation is scanned and attached within ERP systemsValidate quantity, condition, and material identification accuracyEscalate shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediatelyEnsure proper material labeling and traceability standards are maintainedEnsure proper verification and inspection of inter site transfers and assignment to production linesYard Operations & Outdoor Material ControlEstablish and maintain a controlled, organized, and transactionally accurate outdoor yard operation.Own organization and operational control of all outdoor yard inventoryEnsure all yard materials have: defined locations, identification, ERP visibility, and physical accountabilityMaintain material within yard layout standards and location mappingSupport implementation and sustainment of 5S yard standardsCoordinate with Manufacturing Engineering and Production leadership on: space allocation, staging zones, traffic flow, and storage optimizationEnsure outdoor storage practices protect material condition and traceabilityMonitor aging inventory and unused material accumulationDrive cleanup and organization initiatives across the yardInspect staging areas to ensure materials released to production are in designated areas and clearly marked for assigned projectInspect and address unmarked and improperly staged materials and get them into alignment working with production leadsOperational BoundaryProduction owns movement of active WIP/material already released into productionYard Operations owns custody and staging of material prior to production release and consumptionYard Operations acts as auditor for production released WIP being organized effectively within designated spacesMaterial Staging & Production SupportCoordinate material staging activities for upcoming production demand in alignment with the Material Planning team's request to support productionSupport development and execution of pick list requestsEnsure material is staged accurately and on time for production teamsCoordinate replenishment activities for production areasAssist Material Planning and Production teams with shortage resolutionSupport Kanban replenishment and floor inventory support activitiesEnsure staging locations remain organized and transactionally accurateCable Cage, Tool Crib & VMI OversightOversee cable cage inventory organization and material controlEnsure controlled issuance and replenishment processes are followedOversee tool crib accountability and organizationCoordinate vendor-managed inventory (VMI) programsEnsure VMI suppliers maintain agreed inventory levels and service expectationsMonitor Kanban systems and replenishment effectivenessShipment of Finished GoodsEnsure adherence to heavy load/unload procedures are followedCoordinate load readiness with production, quality and logisticsConfirm all proper documentation is ready and reviewed with Driver during loadingCoordinate with Quality team for photos of secured loadWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:Full range of medical, dental, and vision plansLife InsuranceShort-term and Long-term DisabilityMatching 401(k) ContributionsVacation and Paid Sick TimeTuition ReimbursementJob CategoryGlobal Procurement & Supply ChainIs Sponsorship Available?NoCrown is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
