Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure Automation - Remote / Telecommute

Job OverviewStrong experience developing software in Go (Golang).Experience working with REST APIs and API-driven systems.Experience developing Terraform providers, SDKs, or other API-driven automation tooling.Experience building developer tools, platform integrations, or automation frameworks.Strong understanding of software design, testing, and debugging practices.Experience with Git-based development workflows and CI/CD pipelines.Experience writing automated unit and integration tests.Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI-assisted development tools while maintaining high standards of code quality, security, and engineering ownership.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Design, develop, and maintain Terraform providers using Go.Implement new resources, data sources, and provider capabilities.Integrate with internal APIs and services to expose platform functionality through Terraform.Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests.Troubleshoot and resolve provider defects, performance issues, and customer-reported problems.Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity while maintaining engineering quality standards.Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.Collaborate with engineering, product, and quality teams to deliver reliable automation capabilities.Produce clear technical documentation.Experience developing Terraform providers using the Terraform Plugin Framework or Terraform Plugin SDK.Experience implementing Terraform acceptance tests.Experience working with cloud-native platforms and tooling, including cloud services, container technologies, observability solutions, and open-source ecosystems.
