Senior Process Engineer (5+yrs. spray drying experience)

Senior Process Engineers are the primary individuals responsible for leading all engineering efforts (process, structural, commissioning, etc.) for projects they are leading. Senior Process Engineers are responsible for working with the project manager, process and controls engineers, mechanical designers, CAD team, along with fabrication and installation to advance their projects through the design and commissioning phases. This role is an active mentor on the engineering team and utilizes other members of the team to complete their tasks efficiently and accurately.Main Responsibilities:Proficient at visiting facilities to study, troubleshoot, and provide recommendations for evaporator and spray dryer systemsCapable of specifying and sizing equipment for proposalsReview and assist with system Mass Balance calculationsResponsible for the accuracy of the Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)Oversees the modeling of all major equipmentDesigns and specifies the deflagration protection and water deluge systemsLeads Hole & Load drawing development and the utility matrixProficient at specify fans, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and burners Mentor new engineering team membersRequirements:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical 5+ years of evaporation, spray drying, or other food equipment experience 2D CAD (AutoCAD) skills and basic 3D (SolidWorks) skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel Must be hardworking and a self-starter, able to organize and tackle a large complex task Authorized to work in the USA and travel Internationally25% travel is requiredLocation: New London, MN; Hybrid schedule *MUST be willing to commute to New London, MN officeFor information on Dahmes Stainless Inc. including more information on employee benefits, full job descriptions, and our company culture, visit our website at www.dahmes.com/careers.Those candidates selected for further consideration will be contacted.
