OPEN PROJECT MANAGEMENT POSITIONJob Title: Construction Project ManagerLocation: La Mesa, CACompany Type: Small, Boutique Build Development FirmCompensation: $105,000 – 120,000 (Commensurate with experience in high-end finishes and San Diego zoning)The RoleWe are looking for a versatile Project Manager to serve as my right hand in a growing, high-end construction firm. You will bridge the gap between the vision of our custom home clients and the technical execution of our boutique development projects (including ADUs and multi-unit infill). You will manage the office-side logistics and client relations, allowing our Lead Superintendent to stay focused on field execution.Key ResponsibilitiesDual-Track Project Management: Simultaneously manage high-touch custom home builds requiring finish quality and smaller-scale development projects focused on speed and efficiency.Zoning & Permit Mastery: Navigate the front end project planning and permitting side of our projects, working alongside our architecture partners to manage entitlements, ministerial permits for ADUs, and discretionary reviews for small developments.High-End Client Relations: Serve as the primary "concierge" for custom home clients, providing weekly progress reports, managing "white-glove" expectations, and guiding them through complex selection processes.Financial Performance: Take full ownership of project budgets. Manage bidding for luxury trades, track real-time costs in Buildertrend (or similar), and handle all change orders with transparency and firmness.Superintendent Liaison: Act as the strategic partner to our field lead. You handle the "long-lead" items (permits, material procurement, sub vetting) so they can maintain momentum on-site.Required QualificationsExperience: 5+ years in residential construction, specifically with San Diego-based high-end custom homes and/or small residential developments.(renovation experience a plus)A degree or certification in construction project management. Or architecture. OR verifiable experience as a successful project managerTech Literacy: Proficiency in Procore, Buildertrend, or CoConstruct for document control and financial tracking.
