Dishninjas Starlink Installer (Contractor)

About the Role DishNinjas is looking for skilled, reliable Starlink satellite technicians to join our nationwide contractor network. As a 1099 contractor, you’ll handle professional Starlink installations for residential and commercial customers. This role is perfect for someone who’s hands-on, safety-minded, and enjoys solving technical challenges while delivering excellent customer service. What You’ll Do Install and configure Starlink satellite internet systems at customer sites Securely mount Starlink dishes on roofs, poles, or other safe locations (using obstruction checks for clear sky view) Run, route, and neatly secure Starlink cabling (up to 3 stories, indoors/outdoors, including through walls when needed) Set up and configure the Starlink router for WiFi coverage and performance Educate customers on: Using the Starlink app for alignment, obstructions, and monitoring Connecting devices to their new WiFi network Enabling bypass mode if they plan to use their own router/mesh WiFi system Cable care, safety tips, and troubleshooting basics Troubleshoot connectivity, alignment, or cabling issues during installation Ensure professional, safe, and reliable installs that maximize speed and uptime What You’ll Need Experience & Skills Prior experience in satellite, telecom, cable, or low-voltage installation Strong technical and troubleshooting abilities Familiarity with basic networking and WiFi setup (experience with routers/mesh systems a plus) Comfortable with hand/power tools, cabling, and ladder work Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Equipment & Requirements A reliable vehicle capable of transporting ladders and tools 28+ ft ladder (must reach up to 3 stories safely) Standard installation tools (drill, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) Personal smartphone with data plan for job tracking & customer updates Ability to climb and work on rooftops safely Legal & Compliance Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record Current liability insurance coverage (contractors must carry their own) Authorized to work in the United States Must manage own taxes (1099 contractor – no withholdings) What You’ll Get Competitive pay per installation (earn $30K–$70K+ annually depending on workload) Freedom to run your own small business as a contractor No cap on earnings – the more installs you complete, the more you make Training and support provided by DishNinjas Growing demand with opportunities to expand your work area Important Notes This is not a W-2 position.
