Nondepository Credit IntermediationLegal ServicesActivities Related to Real EstateInsurance and Employee Benefit FundsLessors of Nonfinancial Intangible Assets (except Copyrighted Works)Qualified lawyer sought for a unique, high-profile position reporting to the Chief of Staff, requiring expertise across conflicts, regulatory, and reputational risk within structured finance and asset-backed lending.Key ResponsibilitiesLead reputational risk reviews across structured finance and asset-backed lending transactions Conduct diligence on counterparties, sponsors, and transactions covering regulatory, sanctions, litigation, fraud, governance, and conflicts risks Prepare clear risk memoranda and recommendations for senior management and approval committees Partner with legal, compliance, and investment teams to assess and escalate key issues Review third-party investigative and diligence reports and drive follow-up analysis Challenge transaction assumptions and contribute to governance and risk committee discussions Develop sector expertise and identify emerging reputational and regulatory risks within ABF markets Skills & Experience RequiredQualified lawyer (JD required) with 8+ years’ experience within a law firm, bank, or financial institution Strong exposure to structured finance, securitization, asset-backed finance, or broader debt financing transactions Experience within legal, compliance, reputational risk, conflicts, or transaction risk functions Proven ability to assess regulatory, KYC, sanctions, litigation, and governance-related risks Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-pressure transaction environments with senior stakeholder exposure Strong drafting, analytical, and investigative skillset with excellent judgment and communication abilities Prior experience participating in risk, conflicts, or transaction approval committees highly desirable
