Location Toledo Hospital Department Surgery Weekly Hours 40 Status Full time Shift Variable (United States of America) Job Summary The Registered Nurse First Assistant is a clinician and a role model. You serve as the primary clinician with specific patients in combination with the surgical/medical plan. You are responsible for beginning, implementing, and evaluating a nursing plan of care. In this role, you will assess a patient’s status to anticipate and respond to clinical changes as well as recognize and take appropriate action in critical situations. The above summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by the positions. It should not be considered exhaustive. Requirements Education: Successfully completed a course in preparing the registered nurse as a first assistant in surgery. Skills: Must be able to differentiate colors. Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer. Years of Experience: 2 years of intraoperative clinical experience. License: Current RN licensure in the state in which you are hired. Certification: CPR certified. Current specialty certification required (CNOR) issued by the Certification Board Perioperative Nursing (CBPN).
