We help our clients avoid the pitfalls of technology disruptions, and capitalize on the opportunities created by these changes.Reporting to the Political Ops Manager, the Political Ops Campaign Specialist will combine political and policy analysis, quality assurance, project management, and cross-team coordination to ensure the successful execution of client campaigns. This role will exercise a high level of independent judgment and work directly with internal and external stakeholders to support Neptune’s advanced AI tools. The ideal candidate possesses a combination of experience in media campaigns, policy development, and technology, and thrives in a fast-paced, technology-forward, and client-facing startup environment.What you’ll do:Work with Neptune’s AI-native advocacy platform to produce the highest-quality client deliverables including influencer audiences, messaging analyses, and ad scripts Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverable tracking across workstreams, ensuring alignment among internal teams and client expectationsWork collaboratively with multiple internal teams to meet client objectives including leadership, sales, engineering, creative, and digital operations Identify process gaps, document best practices, and build scalable workflows that improve the efficiency and quality of service deliveryServe as a point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and ensuring their advocacy objectives are clearly understood and strategically translated into technology outcomesAnticipate client needs, proactively surface issues and opportunities, and ensure an exceptional client experience that drives retention and repeat businessWhat we’re looking for:Bachelor's degree in political science, government, international relations, public affairs, communications, or a related field, or in lieu of such degree, demonstrated work experience in these areas 2+ years of experience in political campaigns, political communications, advocacy, public affairs, or political technology with demonstrated ability to operate independently and manage client relationships at a senior levelDeep, practical knowledge of American politics and government at federal, state, and municipal levels, with a strong understanding of how advocacy campaigns operate in the real worldProven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with competing priorities and tight timelines; hands-on proficiency with Asana or comparable project management toolsExperience developing advocacy messaging, with comfort working directly with design and creative teams to bring concepts to lifeStrong client management skills and executive presence; able to navigate senior client relationships with confidence, professionalism, and sound judgmentComfort and ability leveraging AI tools to improve workflows, generate insights, and create efficienciesExceptional written and verbal communication skills; clear, concise, and tailored to audiences ranging from internal stakeholders to senior client stakeholdersLocated in the San Francisco Bay areaThis is a hybrid, full-time benefits eligible position. In person co-work time will be required in San Francisco. Candidates must be based in the San Francisco Bay area. Neptune Ops provides a robust suite of benefits including: discretionary time off, health, dental, vision, mental health, pet, and legal insurance as well as 401(k) match, sick time, holiday pay, and paid time off for bereavement and jury duty. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000-105,000. Base compensation is determined by many factors including: geography, the candidate’s skills, experience, and internal equity.
