Medical Phones OperatorWe have a full-time Monday-Friday, 7:55 am to 5:00 pm, medical phone operator position. High-volume inbound/outbound calls in clinics, acting as the primary contact for patients. Key duties include scheduling appointments, transferring calls, verifying insurance, and updating patient data in EHR systems. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to learn and retain medical terminology, and HIPAA compliance. Willing to train the right person.
Core Responsibilities
Call Management: Handles large volumes of calls, triages inquiries, and routes messages to clinical staff.
Scheduling & Registration: Schedules patient appointments, verifies insurance coverage, and updates patient demographics
Medical Documentation: Creates and updates phone notes in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
Required Skills and Qualifications
Communication: Exceptional verbal and active listening skills.
Technical Proficiency: Excellent computer, data entry, and multi-line phone systems.
Medical Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
Confidentiality: Strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient privacy.
Must be at least 18 years old to apply. Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
