Production OperatorThe Production Operator sets up and operates automated press equipment to process fabric materials, ensuring products meet quality and production standards. This role involves loading and unloading light materials, performing basic assembly tasks, and conducting visual quality checks in a modern, fast-paced manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesLoad raw fabric material into the press machine, handling parts that weigh less than 15 pounds.Unload finished products from the press machine in a safe and efficient manner.Remove excess material from finished parts and place the scrap (skeleton) into designated recycling containers.Perform quick visual quality checks on finished products to identify defects or irregularities.Assemble small components into fabric according to work instructions and specifications.Follow written instructions and standard operating procedures to complete daily tasks accurately.Listen to and follow verbal instructions from supervisors and team leads.Work consistently to meet or exceed daily production standards and output goals.Operate production equipment and tools safely, following all safety guidelines and policies.Maintain a clean and organized work area to support product quality and workplace safety.Assist with basic material handling, including loading and unloading materials as needed.Communicate clearly with team members to coordinate work and resolve issues during the shift.Essential SkillsAbility to load and unload materials safely and efficiently in a production environment.Ability to perform visual quality checks to identify defects in finished products.Ability to assemble small components into fabric with attention to detail.Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and procedures.Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions in a fast-paced environment.Comfort working with automated manufacturing equipment and production machinery.Capability to work at a steady pace to meet daily production standards.Basic understanding of safe work practices in a manufacturing setting.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED is suggested but not required.Experience working as a production operator or in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.Experience with loading and unloading materials or operating basic production equipment is helpful.Familiarity with quality checking processes in a production setting is an advantage.Forklift or material-handling experience is a plus.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Why Work Here?Employees benefit from a stable 8-hour shift structure that emphasizes additional days rather than extended daily hours, supporting a more predictable work-life balance.
