Night Shift Warehouse Team Leader
As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in supervising and coordinating the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. You will work closely with the site supervisor to ensure efficient workflow, maintain high levels of productivity, and provide exceptional service to our clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Management:
Oversee a team of warehouse associates, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team members’ skills.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Operations Management:
Keep constantly checking the lead time in real time and deliver accordingly to prevent customer line interruptions.
Ensure adherence to JIS sequential delivery standards and company policies.
Implement and maintain efficient warehouse processes and procedures.
Direct all duties in designated shift being performed by employees; maintain a high degree of visibility and access to employees
Maintain department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy
Assist Warehouse Supervisor in distributing the workload to employees
Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective action
Train new employee
Must work one weekend day
Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking for shipment as needed
Restart, fix or correct any system or production stoppage
Enforce safety standards
Set the standard for production and quality
Identify better ways to do the job
Perform required administrative tasks; prepares required reports and correspondence
Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor
Quality Control:
Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in all warehouse operations.
Identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
Problem-Solving:
Analyze operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
Coordinate with other departments to resolve any issues that may arise.
Safety:
Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Conduct safety inspections and training sessions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven experience as a warehouse team leader or in a similar supervisory role.
Strong understanding of warehouse management principles and best practices.
Experience with JIS sequential delivery management is a plus.
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum of three years of experience in a warehouse position picking / packing order
· Knowledge of warehouse operating procedures and protocol with proven supervisory and leadership skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with personnel of all levels within the organization
· Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
· Proven superior customer service and problem-solving skills
· Knowledge and ability to operate inventory control and related computer software
· Personable, enthusiastic, ambitious, team-oriented, and able to lead by example
· Ability to adjust and refocus in a dynamic and ever-changing environment
· Ability to make good decisions in a timely manner based on analysis, experience, and judgment
EDUCATION:
· High school diploma or GED
WORKING HOUR:
· 6:30pm~6:30am (12 hrs/day)
· May work on weekend based on the HMMA schedule
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
$16/hr. (over time/ double time provided)
