Duties
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor patients’ health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning
Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations
Support clients with memory care, dementia, Alzheimer’s, or autism by implementing specialized techniques
Maintain cleanliness of the living environment through light housekeeping and sanitation tasks
Use equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely to assist with mobility and prevent injury
Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents clearly and thoroughly
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and update personalized care plans
Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
Requirements
Fluent in both Spanish and English to effectively communicate with clients and team members
Prior experience in assisted living, home health, long-term care, or group home settings preferred
Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration
Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training preferred but not required; willingness to obtain upon hire
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease or autism is highly desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper techniques or equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
Strong interpersonal skills with a caring attitude and positive approach toward client independence
Ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining flexibility for individual needs
