Job Title: Hardware Test & Validation Engineer (Automotive ECU)Position OverviewWe are seeking an Hardware Test & Validation Engineer to support the testing and validation of automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs) used in vehicle systems such as seat controllers, window controllers, and other embedded automotive modules. This role is ideal for candidates with 1-5 years HW Lab Testing Experience..This role involves hands-on work in a laboratory environment using standard electrical test equipment to verify functionality, performance, and reliability of hardware components. The engineer will be responsible for executing test procedures, collecting and documenting results, and communicating findings clearly to cross-functional engineering teams.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with lab equipment, possesses strong communication and documentation skills, and has a foundational interest in automation and scripting to improve testing efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform hardware testing and validation of automotive ECUs, including seat controllers, window controllers, and related vehicle control modulesUse laboratory test equipment such as:OscilloscopesDigital Multimeters (DMMs)Logic and signal analyzersCurrent clampsPower suppliesThermal and environmental chambersExecute predefined test procedures to verify voltage, current, signal integrity, and functional behavior of electronic componentsMeasure and validate electrical outputs from devices, for example verifying voltage output of a seat controller using appropriate measurement equipmentRecord and analyze test data accurately using Microsoft Excel and other documentation toolsMaintain detailed logs of test results, observations, and issuesIdentify anomalies or failures and escalate findings to senior engineers or project leadsSupport root cause analysis and debugging activities when hardware issues are detectedAssist in the development and improvement of automated test processes and scriptsFollow safety procedures and maintain proper laboratory practicesCommunicate test progress, results, and issues clearly to team members and stakeholdersRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field(Recent graduates or early-career engineers are encouraged to apply)Basic understanding of:Electronic circuitsVoltage and current measurementHardware testing fundamentalsEmbedded or automotive systems (preferred but not required)Strong communication skills, both written and verbalStrong organizational and documentation skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel for data logging and reportingAbility to follow structured test procedures and maintain attention to detailAbility to work effectively in a team environmentPreferred QualificationsInternship, academic project, or lab experience involving hardware testing or electronicsFamiliarity with automotive electronics or ECU systemsBasic scripting or automation experience in one or more of the following:PythonMATLABLabVIEWShell scriptingExperience using laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes or multimetersInterest in test automation and process improvementWork EnvironmentHands-on laboratory setting working with electronic hardwareInteraction with electrical engineers, validation engineers, and manufacturing or quality teamsOpportunity to develop practical hardware testing and validation skills in the automotive domain
