Lab Operations Associate - Summer position onlyDepartment: Lab OperationsReports to: Accessioning ManagerPay Group: Non-ExemptTitle: Lab Operations Associate - Part-time Summer onlyJob SummaryThis PT Lab Operations Associate summer role is responsible for the receiving and processing laboratory specimens and requisitions ensuring accuracy of information processed. You will act in the best interest of patient care and Gravity Diagnostics while serving as a liaison between our lab and our customers. This role will also perform a wide variety of administrative and clerical duties. This part-time position pays $19.50/hourly and schedule is: Wed., Thurs. Sat., 6:30a-3pResponsibilities And DutiesFollow and adhere to the Corporate Compliance Program along with all HIPAA guidelines.You are responsible for the receiving and processing of laboratory specimens and requisitions. You will enter requisitions data into the online database and label the specimens.Organize medical supply kitsOther duties as assigned.Aliquoting samplesRequired Skills And AbilitiesProficient computer and typing skillsMeet established metrics and quality measures to ensure timely and accurate resultsExcellent communication and organizational skillsComfortable working in a protective laboratory settingAbility to work with co-workers, clients, and hospital staff effectivelyWillingness to adapt to a fast-paced, high volume ever-changing environmentHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Education And ExperienceHigh school diploma required.Physical RequirementsSome safety risks when doing analysisMust be able to lift up to 15 poundsSome prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerGravity Diagnostics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
