We are looking to add another Design Assistant to our amazing team. Ideal candidate is a self-starter with tons of energy who can grow in the role and firm as our firm continues to rapidly scale. A Design Assistant at LARK+PALM gets exposed to all aspects of the Design Process and will have endless opportunity to grow within the firm. Ultimate job is to support the design team and Principal in day-to-day tasks.Website: www.larkandpalm.comIdeal Candidate will have:• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a design related field• Fluency in AutoCAD, RevitGoogleSuite, iWorks, Sketch Up, Adobe suites• 1-3+ years of interior design experience• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written• Exhibit high level of reasoning and critical thinking• Problem solving is your super power• Sharp and obsessive attention to detailJob description:• Support the L+P Design team in day-to-day tasks including• Manage studio materials library including refiling, organizing, sorting and refilling as needed• Support the PM with budgets, tracking actuals against estimates,• Be able to create CAD drawings, including but not limited to, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, electrical plans, detailed elevations and custom furniture• Gather inspiration images for specific projects and studio library• Source furniture, finishes, and accessories, confirming pricing and availability• Manage procurement of items and oversight of ordering & deliveries• Create budgets, schedules, and specifications• Maintain project binders• Maintain fabric and materials library• Pick up & return samples to the design center• Coordinate vendor presentations for new products and materials• Distribute relevant product information to design team• Prepare, manage, and maintain project files, correspondence, drawings, etc.Must be:• Self-motivated• Flexible; able to manage last minute changes related to work scope, budgets, delays• A master at prioritizing• Able to thrive within a team environment• A customer service guru who is comfortable communicating with clients, consultants, vendors• Professional, confident, and creative with a positive assertiveness• Super organized• Reliable; You have a dependable vehicle.
