Project Coordinator
At Designed Structures & Construction, we build premium residential projects across the Treasure Valley. We are a design-build firm that takes projects from concept through construction, and every person on our team plays a direct role in the client experience and the quality of what we deliver. We hire carefully — every person on this team was chosen because they are serious about their craft and committed to a high standard of work. The RoleThe Project Coordinator is the person on the ground who keeps DSC projects moving. You coordinate day-to-day site activity, manage trade partner scheduling, handle client communication at the project level, and hold the quality standard that DSC is known for. DSC relies on skilled trade partners for all specialized scopes—and what makes this role work is a coordinator who knows the trades well enough to recognize quality work, identify what’s wrong when it isn’t right, and direct corrections clearly. Deep knowledge of finish carpentry is a premium here—not because you will be swinging a hammer, but because you will be the person who knows whether the carpenter hung that door correctly. What You'll DoProject Coordination▸ Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for trade partners; coordinate daily work sequencing and access.▸ Manage project schedules in Buildertrend; update daily progress and flag schedule risks to the Project Manager.▸ Document site progress with photos and notes; upload to Buildertrend daily.▸ Communicate professionally with clients at the site level; provide daily or weekly project updates.▸ Manage punch list development and completion; own the punch list through final sign-off.▸ Conduct quality control walkthroughs; identify deficiencies and coordinate corrections with trade partners.Trade Knowledge & Quality Oversight▸ Evaluate trade partner work quality at every stage—finish carpentry, trim, door hanging, hardware installation, tile, and all related scopes—and identify deficiencies before they reach the punch list.▸ Direct trade partners to correct substandard work; use your knowledge of how the work should be done to communicate specifically what needs to change and why.▸ Maintain site cleanliness and organization; enforce jobsite safety standards and DSC housekeeping expectations.▸ Coordinate material receiving and staging; verify deliveries match purchase orders and confirm materials meet spec before installation begins.▸ Manage site setup at project start; ensure existing finishes are protected and the site is organized for the work sequence.▸ Own the punch list through final client sign-off; verify that every trade partner closes their scope to DSC’s standard before closeout. What We're Looking For▸ 3+ years in residential remodeling with job site coordination and trade oversight experience.▸ Demonstrated ability to self-direct on a job site without daily supervision.▸ Deep working knowledge of finish carpentry—trim, doors, hardware, tile, and related scope—sufficient to evaluate trade work quality, identify deficiencies, and direct corrections. You do not need to perform the work yourself; you need to know it well enough to ensure it is done right.▸ Broad familiarity with all residential construction trades is valuable; strong knowledge of carpentry and finish work is a priority.▸ Professional demeanor with homeowners—you can represent DSC in a client’s home.▸ Experience coordinating subcontractors and trade partners on active job sites.▸ Organized: you track your own tasks, follow up without being asked, and document your work.▸ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.▸ This role is computer-heavy. Daily documentation, photo uploads, punch list management, and scheduling all run through Buildertrend. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and Adobe is required. If computers are not your strength, this role is not the right fit.Compensation$65,000–$82,000 depending on experience. Full benefits package. How to ApplySend your resume to info@dscboise.com.
