About The RoleDesign and ship robotics features across the autonomy stack, from sensor drivers and perception pipelines to planning and control. This role emphasizes production engineering: reliable C++/Python robotics software, hardware sensor integration, simulation + HIL validation, and data-driven iteration to improve real-world robot behavior.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain ROS/ROS 2 nodes for sensing, localization, mapping, planning, and controlImplement perception and sensor fusion pipelines (camera, LiDAR, IMU, wheel odometry) to support stable autonomyDevelop and tune controllers (PID/MPC) for trajectory tracking, stability, and safety constraintsCreate simulation testbeds and CI-friendly regression tests to improve autonomy reliabilityRun experiments, analyze logs/telemetry, and drive model/system performance improvementPartner with mechanical, electrical, and QA teams on integration, calibration, and field validationRequired QualificationsMid-Senior experience delivering robotics or autonomous systems in production environmentsStrong C++ and Python skills; comfort with Linux development and debugging toolingHands-on ROS/ROS 2 experience (messages, TF frames, launch files, bagging)Practical understanding of kinematics, dynamics, state estimation, and controlExperience with SLAM/localization, motion planning, or computer vision perceptionNice to HaveMoveIt, Nav2, Gazebo/Ignition, Isaac Sim, or similar simulation stacksEmbedded integration (CAN/UART/I2C/SPI), real-time constraints, and sensor calibrationSafety concepts, fault detection, and robotics QA validationCompensationHourly base pay range: $30–$50/hr (USD).Remote, Full-Time.How To ApplyApply via Rex.zone with a resume highlighting shipped robotics systems, autonomy modules, and measurable outcomes.
