Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Manufacturing Machine Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of production equipment and machinery in a manufacturing facility. This role ensures machines operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.Key ResponsibilitiesClean, sanitize, and maintain manufacturing equipment, tools, and work areasRemove debris, grease, and build-up from machinery using appropriate cleaning agents and toolsDisassemble and reassemble machine parts safely for deep cleaning when requiredFollow cleaning schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulationsIdentify and report equipment issues, wear, or damage to maintenance or supervisorsProperly handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipmentMaintain records of cleaning activities and completed tasksAssist production or maintenance teams when neededRequired Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious experience in manufacturing, janitorial, or industrial cleaning is a plusAbility to follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE)Basic understanding of machinery and cleaning techniquesStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood physical stamina; ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in industrial environmentsWorking ConditionsExposure to loud noises, moving machinery, and industrial cleaning chemicalsRequires use of PPE such as gloves, goggles, and safety shoesMay involve lifting, climbing, and working in tight spacesShifts may include nights, weekends, or overtime depending on production needsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsFrequent standing, walking, bending, and reachingAbility to work in hot, cold, or humid conditionsOur ExpectationsWe Expect Our People To Be Guided By The Amcor Way And Demonstrate Our Values Every Day To Enable The Business To Win.
