Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with an insurance services organization, is seeking a skilled Property Contents Adjuster. This role is responsible for managing personal property claims from initial inspection through settlement, including documentation and valuation of losses. The ideal candidate will bring strong field experience and claims expertise to ensure fair and timely resolutions.Job DutiesManage contents claims from first notice of loss through final settlementReview policies and endorsements to determine coverage, limits, and exclusionsConduct on-site inspections and perform detailed inventories of damaged or lost propertyIdentify and document standard household goods, specialty items, and high-value contentsResearch replacement cost and actual cash value using market and industry data sourcesPrepare and reconcile inventories, estimates, and supporting claim documentationSet and manage reserves associated with personal property lossesCoordinate with insureds, carriers, vendors, and internal teams throughout the claims processNegotiate claim settlements and support dispute resolution processes when necessarySkills & Experience RequiredExperience handling insurance claims or related property loss documentationKnowledge of insurance policies, coverage interpretation, and claims processesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and internet research toolsAbility to perform on-site inspections and physical inventoriesValid driver’s license and ability to travel frequentlyDesiredPrior experience specifically handling contents or personal property claimsFamiliarity with replacement cost valuation (RCV) and actual cash value (ACV) methodologiesExperience preparing detailed contents inventories and claim documentationIndustry certifications such as AIC, CPCU, SPPA, or similarExperience working with appraisal, arbitration, or dispute resolution processesAbility to manage multiple claims simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentBlue Chip Talent is an award-winning and woman-owned talent solutions provider based out of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
