This role oversees client engagements, supervises associates, and assists in developing policies and procedures tailored to each client’s industry, operational needs, and compliance requirements.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesClient Consulting & Engagement ManagementProvide consulting support to clients within designated areas of expertise.Meet with Rehmann team members and client staff to understand needs, objectives, and operational challenges.Define project scope, develop work plans, and outline research and analysis required to meet engagement goals.Conduct or oversee data collection, analysis, and interpretation.Prepare written reports summarizing findings and actionable recommendations.Present results and recommendations to clients in a clear and compelling manner.Support clients in implementing recommended process improvements and operational changes.Maintain strong client relationships during and between engagements.Identify cross‑selling opportunities and coordinate with appropriate Rehmann colleagues.Team Leadership & Project OversightDirect and supervise assigned associates, providing guidance, feedback, and development opportunities.Oversee engagement design and execution in accordance with firm policies and quality standards.Keep team members informed of relevant industry developments and regulatory changes.Delegate responsibilities effectively to optimize team workload and efficiency.Foster positive team interactions and resolve conflicts constructively.Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with firm performance expectations.Accounting ServicesKnowledge of GAAP, grant and other compliance requirements and the impact on accounting for transactions in the general ledger.Demonstrate strong working knowledge of client accounting systems and identify opportunities for improvement.Troubleshoot account reconciliation discrepancies and system‑related issues.Maintain an understanding of client operations and critical business needs.Strong attention to detail as well as analytical review.Additional ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate strong project management skills, consistently meeting deadlines and performance expectations.Maintain high ethical standards, sound judgment, and professional demeanor at all times.Produce clear, concise, and accurate written communications, including proposals and technical memoranda.Handle confidential client information with discretion.Required Skills/AbilitiesBachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree desired.6+ years of relevant experience in the non-profit or governmental space required. CPA, CGFM or CGMA/CMA or similar certification desired.Proficiency in core accounting functions (accounts payable, payroll, cash receipting, reconciliations).Knowledge of federal cost principles, federal grant accounting/reporting, and the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (2 CFR 200) compliance.Strong understanding of GAAP (FASB and/or GASB) standards.Demonstrated ethical behavior, critical thinking, and sound judgment.Ability to foster positive team interactions and serve as a role model for others.Professional presence, maturity, and confidence.Prior experience in not‑for‑profit accounting and working with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) is highly desired.We Put People First in all that we do.
