Java Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a skilled Java Engineer to work for a well established financial services company. The Java Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using the Java programming language.Responsibilities of the Java Engineer include:Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance Java applications.Lead the development of backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practicesQualifications for the Java Engineer include:7-10 years of experience in java engineeringBachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Proven expertise in Java or other JVM languages; familiarity with Kotlin or Scala is a plus.Solid experience with relational databases like Oracle or PostgreSQL; exposure to Redis, Hazelcast, or MongoDB is a bonus.Hands-on knowledge of Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems using Kafka, JMS, or MQ.Comfortable working with CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub Actions), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms like GCP; experience with Gradle or Maven is preferred.Compensation for the Java Engineer includes:$120,000 - $185,000 + 10% bonus annually with a comprehensive benefitMedical, Dental, Vison, 401k, PTO, holidays, sick leave as required by lawHybrid work environment – 3 days on-siteThis job opens for applications on 6/27/2025.
