divh2Restaurant Server (PM)/h2pAs the primary point of contact for guest interactions in the dining room, the Restaurant Server (PM) is responsible for selling serving food beverages using their knowledge, hospitality and service skills. Must be pleasant, conscientious and professional with excellent knowledge of food alcoholic beverage selections. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, and ensure smooth service operations and quality service./ppReporting to the Director of Restaurants and Restaurant Assistant General Manager, every day is different, but youll mostly:/pulliPromote the Restaurant Group and Regents service philosophy and style through our people attributes./liliDeliver exceptional hospitality to all guests, ensuring attentive, polished, and courteous service at all times./liliMaintain pristine and well-organized work areas./liliOperate within the restaurant daily with efficiency, respect, friendliness, professionalism, teamwork, knowledge, patience, awareness, compassion, courtesy and initiative./liliUnderstand completely all programs, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs./liliDisplays consistent attention to detail and follow through of all restaurant policies./liliRepresents the restaurant professionally through effective communication, cooperation and relationships with all business partners./liliUse of trolleys and carts for table side service./liliMaking and serving coffee specialty drinks./liliTable side wine presentation and service./liliBussing used items and marking all table settings./li/ulpWhat we need from you:/pulliUnderstand and perform job duties to the expectations of Regent Santa Monica and the restaurant Service, Food, Beverage and Wine manuals./liliPerform all side work applicable to assigned station./liliParticipate in Pre-Shift meetings and learn new menu items./liliWelcome all guests and ensure they receive responsive, professional and gracious service./liliDescribes dinner features as needed, including menu changes and daily additions./liliAssisting the kitchen in expediting the service process to maintain the flow of service throughout the dining room./liliAnswer any questions about the menu, specific food items, the wine list or any other inquiries the guest may have./liliLiaise with support staff to always ensure communication about wants and needs of guests./liliUnderstand the order taken and any changes in the menu, dietary restrictions, food allergies, and or food modifications as needed or requested by our staff/liliAware of all upcoming orders and status of tables expecting food./liliAlways uses position numbers and proper spiels./liliSells and serves food and beverages./liliAfter serving each course, monitors guests for satisfaction./liliOversees table maintenance, coordinates service at the table with fellow team members. Works with server assistants in clearing and re-setting tables./liliWorks with server assistants in keeping service stations stocked with silverware, glassware, share plates, bread plates, placemats, condiments, sugar, coffee, tea, etc./liliMakes sure that the guests check is accurate and presented promptly with a Thank You and a Farewell Wish. Ensures that change or charge slip is returned to the guest in a timely manner./liliEnsure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurants standards./liliMaintain a clean, safe environment in the Dining Room and all service stations./liliFully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the restaurant employees and guests./liliFlexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays/liliThis position necessitates participation in a pooled tip system, where you contribute to tipping out the support staff and other essential colleagues./li/ulpWhat you can expect from us:/ppThe hourly pay rate for this role is $16.00 to $17.00, plus tips.
