Facility Maintenance ManagerDuties/Responsibilities:Plan building maintenance and operational programsEnsure the efficiency of all building systemsAssist in preparing operating renewal reports and budgetsMaintain a safe work environment for all employeesEnsure all processes and compliance programs are metPrepare cost estimates for moves and equipmentCoordinate with program managers and building contractorsManage maintenance of groundsConduct and document regular facility inspections of all mechanical and utility systems, ensure systems are serviced in accordance with all rules and regulationsNegotiate bids and contracts for third party workersPrepare and file reports with government and regulatory authorities including environmental permittingOversee all building and grounds maintenanceOperate and maintain maintenance functionsEnsure security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properlyEnsure that the facility is clean and maintained according to program policy and proceduresManage and supervise the quality of work for other employees to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively; assist with completing tasks as neededResponsible for preventative maintenance of boiler/domestic hot water system.Ensure that the periodic maintenance and inspection of elevators, sprinkler systems, fire alarm system and fire extinguishers is performed and documentedManage and review service contractsCheck completed work by vendors and contractorsRecommend maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modificationsForecast, allocate, and supervise the physical resources of the facility management.Strong mechanical understanding in gas and oil burners, electrical and electronic heating controls, steam distribution systems, hydronics systems, instantaneous hot water, feedwater and vacuum tank systems.Ability to make sound decisions, prepare clear concise reports and recommend improvements communicate effectively both written and verbally.Related duties as assigned.Hours:37.5 hours per weekMonday-Friday 9am-5:30pmQualifications:Required:High school Diploma/GED required.Previous experience in facility maintenance or related field with at least one year in a supervisory role required.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Computer proficiency required including ability to schedule with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.Preferred:Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, business management or related field preferred.Certification in facilities management a plus.Knowledgeable in DOB, ECB, HPD, DOMH, FDNY, DSNY and HRA/DHS regulations strongly preferred.Make an ImpactAre you looking to make a positive impact on the lives of those in your community?
