Key Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls and log into assigned phone queues daily
Provide eligibility and claim information to medical providers and members
Review and interpret plan certificates to determine covered benefits and exclusions
Investigate claim payment issues and research PPO databases
Document call details in claim systems and monitor voicemail
Respond to provider/member status requests professionally
Initiate check inquiries to confirm claim payments
Educate providers and members on new technology for accessing plan information
Use probing skills to resolve customer concerns in a single call
Maintain minimum call standards per company policy and industry agreements
Complete special projects as requested by management
Candidate Requirements
Effective time management and ability to function independently
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Strong problem-solving and issue resolution skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong organisational and follow-up skills
Experience with claims and business software preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment
