Traffic Engineering Manager
Overview
In this role you lead traffic engineering projects across conception to completion, contributing to safety, efficiency, and sustainability. You work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver traffic studies, signal designs, and safety audits, shaping outcomes for communities. You’ll apply traffic simulation tools, present findings to clients, and mentor junior engineers. This position supports AECOM’s mission to deliver a better world through resilient infrastructure.

ResponsibilitiesLead traffic engineering projects from concept to deliveryDevelop and review traffic impact studies, signal designs, and roadway safety auditsCollaborate with planners, designers, and construction managersEnsure regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal standardsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineersPrepare and present proposals, reports, and findings to clients and stakeholdersConduct field investigations and data collection for project developmentUtilize traffic simulation software and other engineering tools to analyze issues
