At Vernovis, we help these professionals achieve their career goals, matching them with innovative projects and dynamic direct hire opportunities in Ohio and across the Midwest.Client Overview:Vernovis is partnering with a manufacturing organization in Western Massachusetts that is seeking interim leadership to support its accounting and finance function during a period of transition.If interested please contact: Nick Kossoudji at nkossoudji@vernovis.comWhat You’ll Do:Lead and execute the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysisOversee manufacturing accounting activities including inventory, standard costing, WIP, and cost variancesPrepare and review financial statements and management reporting for leadershipManage day to day accounting operations, including AR, AP, and cash flow oversightEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal controlsPartner with operations and leadership to provide financial insights and resolve issuesSupport audit preparation and external reporting requirementsIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and support ERP/system clean up as neededWhat Experience You’ll Have:8+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environmentPrior experience as a Controller or Interim ControllerStrong understanding of inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing financialsProven ownership of month end close and financial reportingAdvanced Excel and ERP system experienceWhat Experience Is Nice to Have:CPA or CMA certificationERP implementation or optimization experiencePrior interim or consulting experienceThe Vernovis Difference:Vernovis offers Health, Dental, Vision, Voluntary Short & Long Term Disability, Voluntary Life Insurance, and 401K.Vernovis does not accept inquiries from Corp to Corp recruiting companies.
