Job Title: Mainframe Developer (DB2 with production support)Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ / Alpharetta, GA/ Frisco, TX || HybridType: Full Time/W2 with Infinite Computer SolutionsJob DescriptionWhat does a successful Software Development Engineer do at Fiserv?The Software Development Engineer will serve as a technical leader in our Mainframe Software Engineering Department and play a key role in developing industry leading software for our customers. They will be responsible for developing, testing, and supporting complex technical and architectural solutions that support the Digital Banking division payment processing platform. We develop new features for the DPS product strategies and address the market needs of Fiserv clients and their customers in an Agile environment.What You Will DoWork with Solution Architect and scrum team to ensure application code algins with the application architecture.Adhere to platform architecture and best practices.Participate in daily/weekly stand ups, code reviews, and QA walkthroughs.Work with scrum team in developing the sprint plan.Complete assigned tasks within the sprint timeline and with high qualityYou will develop a deep understanding of appropriate data & software components including conceptual data models, data flows, entity relationships, specifications, audit controls, exception and error handling, security, etc.Support technical design decisions through validation of technical approaches and prototyping of new concepts.Identify and implement continuous improvements to the development practiceUnderstand the existing processing architecture and adhere to design and technical solutions for the new projects.Coordinate and work with offshore team, as needed, for deliverables which could include peer code review, proper documentation, and installation.Ability to provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotation assignmentAbility to provide production supportAbility to develop and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and scriptsAbility to set up test data and test environmentsPerform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testingWhat You Will Need To HaveBachelor s Degree or a minimum of 5 years of experience demonstrating required skills and competencies.5+ years experience designing and developing secure mainframe-based applications.5+ years experience hands on experience COBOL, JCL, CICS, MQ and Db2 for z/OS. Nice to have REXXWork with scrum team in developing the sprint plan.Complete assigned tasks within the sprint timeline and with high qualityAbility to provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotational assignment.Strong client-facing skills and experience3 - 10 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing software applications and hands on experience with large scale applications at large institutions.Experience in production supportExperience setting up test data and test environmentsWhat Would Be Great To HaveExperience in Agile Software Development methodologies including Scrum.Can-do attitude with a delivery focus.Understanding of the Payment Industry and associated productsKnowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD)
