We want your knowledge and expertise!JOB SUMMARY:We are seeking a Pediatrics RN to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to provide care for infants, children, and adolescents with an age range of 0-17 years. Care is provided to patients with a variety of medical-surgical diagnosis. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.In this role you will:Demonstrate knowledge and application of the nursing process to infants, children, and adolescents.Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.Measure patient's vital signs, such as blood pressure, breathing and heart rate, and initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology.Perform physical, medical and diagnostic tests.Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments.Assist treating physician during examination, treatment and procedures.Provide education, information, and support to the patient's family.Job Requirements:Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Required, Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferredFlorida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license requiredBLS-American Heart Association BLS Provider issued card requiredACLS-American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card requiredPALS-American Heart Association PALS Provider issued card required2 Years acute care pediatrics experience preferredHCA Florida West Hospital is a 515-bed facility.
