About the CampaignStephanie Ruskay is running to represent the 69th Assembly District in the New York State Assembly. A longtime community organizer, public school parent, and Associate Dean at the Jewish Theological Seminary, Stephanie is building a grassroots campaign rooted in housing affordability, healthcare, LGBTQ+ equality, and fighting back against federal attacks on our communities. If elected, she would make history as the first female rabbi to serve in state office in the United States.Internship Overview: Stephanie Ruskay for State Assembly is seeking interns and fellows to join the campaign to help with aspects of our direct voter outreach, potential fundraising events, and volunteer recruitment. Fellows in the program will help with our direct voter outreach via canvassing, phone banking, and event planning, and they will be involved in campaign strategy.Recommended Time Commitment:Interns:10 hours required per week, three 2-hour phonebanks, one 3-hour phonebank and the one-hour weekly Intern and Fellow check-in9 hours doing direct voter contact on phones Weekly Intern check-in with campaign staffSpecial projects opportunities throughout the week including fundraising, social media, or other needs of the campaignIdeally with availability through Election Day, June 23rd.Benefits of being an Intern for Stephanie:Connect with political operatives and campaign staff for professional growth and networking.
