As a result, our company is growing fast and always welcoming new talents.SUMMARYThe focus of this position is to proactively plan and direct activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for manufacturing processes, materials, and products.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOther duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation for disabilities may be made for one or more of the following:Perform internal and supplier audits in accordance with published schedules and procedures or specifications.Review and follow-up on corrective action submittals and closes acceptable corrective actions, escalates to management as necessary any questionable corrective actions.Review engineering drawings for accuracy following QA procedures.Initiate and/or revise Quality Assurance manual, procedures, and work instructions.Update and mail supplier quality and delivery rating reports, as required.Advise the Director of Quality Assurance of any possible quality concerns/ incidents as required.Is the point of contact and individual who accompanies customers during an audit and provide any requested information and documentation for on-site review.Perform AS9100 awareness training and implements processes as assigned by Management.Perform detailed trending analysis of related quality data identifying top issues in pareto format, and facilitate problem and/or process improvement activities. Develops action plans to reach site objectives.Perform and/or leads 8D, PDCA, DAMIC methodologies across the site.Maintain and support the Quality Management system AS9100, NADCAP, etc...to include: reviews, audits, and training.Support and or lead Preliminary Material Review Team (PMRT) and work actively with team including dispositions as required.May have supervisory and administration duties for Factory Quality SpecialistsResponsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.Responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.Required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management's attention immediately.Continually seek opportunities to improve our HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results.Responsibility for complying with ISO 14001standards, aspects, directives and impact as related to the HSE policy commitments.Reports quality metrics weekly and monthly in association with Batch Rejection Rates, First Pass Yield, rework %, sorted % and scrap %, Management Business Reviews and Process Improvement Teams (APU / APG).Prepares different formats for a variety of quality performance charts, graphs and reports.Collect and report data on a daily basis.Ability to create forms for quality assurance activities.Use statistical tools to analyze data, make appropriate recommendations or decisions, and improve process capability using quality tools such as pareto charts and fishbone diagrams.Collaborate with cross-functional groups such as Engineering, Planning and Manufacturing to resolve quality problemsSupport various departments with process improvements projects by using quality performance reports and graphs including pivot tables and rejection/scrap history.Other duties as assigned.Ways of working, Experience, and BehaviorsTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Understands work flows, Quality Management Systems, Root Cause Analysis, Failure Analysis, implements and uses Six Sigma/ SPC and develops SOP'S (Standard Operating Procedures).Technical Skills - Understands and has working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS 9100, NADCAP, Mil-Specs, ITAR, aerospace specification, metallurgy, special processing, and raw material specification; Able to clearly share expertise and transfer technical knowledge to others; Communicates technical knowledge and expertise with customers to instill confidence regarding quality function.Oral and Written Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens intently to others and seeks clarification; Provides clear and pleasant responses to inquires regardless of the situation; Presents complex concepts in a simple manner to achieve understanding of benefit plans at all levels of the organization. Responsibility excludes direct management responsibilities including but not limited to, Performance Management, and disciplinary actionsESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS SKILLS AND ABILITIESEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Engineering in related discipline and minimum 3 to 7 years directly related experience required and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experienceWorking knowledge of special processes, manufacturing methods, metallurgy, design and documentationPreferred CQE and/or CQA certifiedSix Sigma - Green Belt certified highly desired. Strong drafting skills, excellent problem solving skills and ability to work within a team. Lean Six Sigma preferredAerospace manufacturing experience highly desired.Working experience of manufacturing environment proceduresWorking knowledge of relevant engineering applicationsLanguage Skills:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills:Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, and sampling theory.Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic mainframe computer systems and familiar with Spreadsheet and Word Processing software.Reasoning Ability:Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
