At TSE, we are expanding our Engineering Team and looking to hire either _*Full time and/or Contract Structural Engineers/ Project Inspector in the Houston, TX Region.*_ This position will report directly to the Project Manager of your region. The structural engineer is a type of civil engineer who handles a number of responsibilities ranging from project site visits and inspections, drawings and blueprints, overseeing construction sites, project management and proposals. The load of work will vary based on experience.
*Structural Engineer Qualifications*
* Professional Engineer License preferred but not required
* Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineer preferred
* Experience developing schematics for structures in accordance with client specifications and safety standards
* Project development and leadership skills are essential
* Professional work experience in developing blueprints and designs for proposed structures
* Extensive knowledge and experience working with various operating systems
* Ability to work with various departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan
* Experience with software engineering, customer experience and design architecture
* Advanced understanding of build materials, techniques and processes
* Up to date understanding of best practices regarding building safety measures
*Responsibilities*
* _Gathering information_ including site or virtual visits. Structural engineers who will gather information about their proposed project before they can begin designing. Often, this includes data like geographical surveys and topographical reports.
* _Analyzing data:_ Utilize data that is gathered to determine the best way to structure and design their proposed project.
* _Budgets/Sales:_ Possibly assist with sales calls to ensure that correct estimates are generated from the systems dashboard. Possibly generating more revenue for future clients.
* _Designs:_ Using specific materials and tools, structural engineer will create in-depth designs and blueprints for the project.
* _Monitoring projects:_ Structural engineer will oversee the projects process and ensure compliance including the project be completed accurately and on time.
* _Mentor Civil Engineers and facilitate_ a holistic understanding as to the scope and plan for projects
* _Work closely with building departmen_t within the company to ensure hardware is available for projects and working properly
* _Define clear goals for all aspects of a project_ and develop steps for their proper execution
* _Provide detailed specifications for proposed_ solutions including time and scope involved
* _Account for possible project challenges or constraints_ and proactively seek to manage challenges
* _Assist other department engineers_ in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
* _Work alongside project management teams_ to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
* _Establish a framework_ for necessary contributions from various departments and facilitate their collaboration

*If offered Full Time there is a generous Benefits package included. Pay is between $60,000-$95,000 plus bonuses DOE.*
Job Types: Full-time, Independent Contractor with potential to transition to FT W2 Employment after 90 days.
