Construction Materials Co-Op (Summer + Fall)

ResponsibilitiesThe ECS Co-Op Program allows qualified students to reinforce their education through a practical, hands on, paid work experience. A Construction Materials Co-Op will participate in multiple (2-3) co-op rotations. Currently, we are looking for students to complete a Summer & Fall rotation. Observing and documenting field activities related to the construction processSampling, testing, and inspecting soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placementPerforming calculations and data reduction of test results along with draftingUsing field screening equipment and documenting readingsReading maps, following directions, and interpreting engineering and construction plansInteracting and communicating daily with contractors, technicians, and project managersFor you experienced Co-Ops: Testing of soils, foundations, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, masonry, structural steel, and asphalt pavementDetermining and/or performing appropriate laboratory testsAttending project meetings and assisting in project resolutionsAssisting with preparation of proposalsAssisting with scheduling, training, and oversight of Field TechniciansAssist with managing project budgets and invoicingWant to experience what this job entails?
