Medical assistant
*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential support in both clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with healthcare professionals in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center, contributing to the overall patient experience and operational efficiency of our clinic. *Responsibilities* - Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. - Perform patient care tasks, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for examinations. - Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation. - Maintain accurate patient records, including coding and billing information. - Facilitate communication between patients and medical staff to enhance patient service. - Ensure the cleanliness and organization of medical-surgical areas within the clinic. - Support the implementation of clinic protocols and assist with patient education. *Requirements* - Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role preferred. - Strong understanding of patient care practices within a clinical setting. - Familiarity with medication administration procedures and coding systems. - Excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional patient service. - Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment within a Level I or Level II Trauma Center. - Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus but not mandatory. - Must demonstrate compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail in all interactions with patients and staff.
