Composite Design Engineer

Applied Composites (AC) is seeking a Composite Design Engineer who will provide extended expertise in developing, designing and testing a wide range of aerospace composites and mechanical products to meet stringent requirements and specifications. If you are looking for a company that values and develops its employees while offering engaging work, Applied Composites may be the place for you.Job Responsibilities:Provides extended expertise in the design, development and testing of mechanical componentsParticipates in engineering activities to define product requirements, create designs, perform simulation testing and validation of final hardware componentsPerforms mechanical component development and integration, while using Computer-Aided-Design conceptsWorks as part of the Mechanical Engineering Team to meet high level of engineering standards per design specificationsUses existing procedures to solve a range of problems; analyzes information and standard practices to make judgmentsSolves a variety of mechanical engineering issues and improves existing designsImprove and implement composite manufacturing processesPerforms value analysis during the product design phase while optimizing product development costsOther responsibilities as assigned Job Specifications:Education: Post-secondary degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectationsYears' Experience: 3 - 5 years of relevant experienceSkills:Excellent ability to apply a systematic and analytical approach to problem solvingProficient with CAD and 3D modelingAdvanced knowledge and ability to apply core concepts of engineering (mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis and electricity)Ability to explain a range of complex technical informationPrior experience with CATIA highly preferredPrior experience with composites highly preferred Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completionExperience with composite design and manufacturing processes Benefits:  At Applied Composites, we recognize how important your career and benefits are to you and your family.
