Customer Service AssistantLocation: Kingsburg - Full/Part-Time: Part TimeRegular/Temporary: Regular - FLSA Status: Non-ExemptShift: Day - Salary Range: $19.00 to $22.00 per hour.SummaryReporting to the Customer Service Representative, the Customer Service Assistant is responsible for providing a supporting role in billing, file organizing, scheduling, data entry, and other customer service-related areas that are needed.Essential FunctionsOrganize files, mail invoices, matching back up from carriers to sales orders, verify billing, identify and label customer filesCollect and review previous day's shipments to efficiently process and invoice customers accuratelyRun daily reports for open orders, export to Excel, format, and send to group in OutlookFront office coverage including UPS, USPS, and FedEx, registering guests, managing the visitor log, general public, potential applicants, and inter office mailingsAdditional ResponsibilitiesPerform related duties and/or special projects as assignedQualifications Skills & Competencies:Strong math and communication skills are requiredPrinciples of customer serviceModern office methods, practices, procedures and equipment10-key proficiency; good data entry skillsComputer proficiency including Word, Outlook and ExcelAbility to:Be able to multitask and work accurately, good communicator and personablePerform procedures in an organized and accurate manner; meet deadlines regularlyBuild and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and customersOperate a computer for a variety of applicationsCommunicate effectively with all levels of staff and outside customersWork independently with minimal supervisionProblem solve and research issuesWork part time hours of 20 hours per week, flexible during normal business hours can be arrangedExperience and Training Guidelines:Customer Service experience in manufacturing operation, involvement with Ag industry a plusOne-year customer service experience/exposureDemonstrated strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsStrong phone contact handling and active listening skillsSpecial Demands Physical requirementsFrequent use of keyboardFrequent sitting for long periods of timeOccasional bending or squattingFrequent decision-making and concentrationFrequent exposure to noiseFrequent reading and close-up workFrequent co-worker and/or public contact; occasional working aloneFrequent hearing and talking in person and on the phoneFrequent repetitive motion; frequent writing, grasping, holding and reachingFrequent decision-making and concentrationWork is performed in a typical temperature-controlled office environment subject to typical office noise and environment.
