Machine Learning Engineer
This role focuses on data analysis, integration, and skills intelligence development for a government sponsor. The engineer will help clean, transform, and migrate data, while building a centralized skills and competencies repository that integrates with HR and talent systems.Core ResponsibilitiesConduct gap analysis on datasets (current vs. needed state) and develop action plansPerform data cleansing, transformation, and migration planningCompare and map datasets across multiple HR and internal systemsBuild and maintain a skills inventory database (jobs, competencies, KSAs, proficiency levels)Develop automated processes to extract skills data (e.g., from performance reviews, onboarding data, open sources)Ensure PII compliance and secure, access-controlled data storageSupport system integration, including ML/AI tools and chatbot capabilitiesEvaluate data impacts of system restructuring and external integrationsCreate documentation, SOPs, reports, and risk tracking artifacts Required SkillsDatabases (SQL/NoSQL), ETL pipelines, and data APIsProgramming: Python, Java, ScalaMachine Learning / AI tools and analytics platformsCloud: AWS analytics services, Hadoop ecosystemData visualization and reportingTS/SCI with PolygraphCollaboration: Work closely with engineers, DBAs, HR teams, SMEs, and project managers to align data, systems, and skill frameworks.Preferred SkillsTableau, BluescapeSponsor-specific cloud/HR systemsSharePoint integrationAgile methodologyRCT Systems OffersCompetitive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life insurance)Immediate 401k vestingGenerous PTO and flexible schedules$500.00 annual technology allowanceRCT Systems is committed and proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
