We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.About the roleAs a Principal Scientist - Computational Biologist at Immunai, you will be working in a fast-paced, external-facing research team to implement creative, state-of-the-art computational approaches that maximize the strategic value of the Immunai platform across industry partnerships. Through this position, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally to deliver AI-powered improvements in clinical trial success rates and patient outcomes.Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid model)What will you do?Design and deploy innovative, state-of-the-art analytic approaches, including computational pipelines and agentic workflows, that improve outcomes for industry partnerships.Standardize and operationalize reusable approaches that can be broadly adopted across projects to improve scalability, reproducibility, and scientific consistency.Leverage agentic workflows to amplify the team’s analytical speed, creativity, and automation, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.Establish blueprints for platform innovation and drive implementation with cross-functional stakeholders.Required qualificationsPhD in computational biology, computer science, or related field, with 8+ years relevant experience including at least 3+ years of industryStrong coding abilities (Python required, R a plus)Creative and innovative mindset - AI-first, with demonstrated track record of pushing scientific and technical boundariesExperience designing and implementing agentic workflows with appropriate human-in-the-loop checkpointsHands-on experience with machine learning methodologies and the ability to adapt, utilize and extend internal modeling frameworksDemonstrated experience translating technical work to clear, high-impact outcomesExpertise in distilling multi-faceted analyses into concrete conclusions with effective data visualizations and presentations.Desired personal traits:You have superior skills and experience, and constantly strive to be world-class in what you doYou have a growth mindset; you constantly challenge your own assumptions, push for continuous improvement, and disrupt status quoYou influence effectively, including people of diverse backgrounds and culturesYou are candid, authentic, and transparentYou prioritize “We” over “I”You enjoy getting things done - with super high qualityYou want to make an impact on humankindCompensation: This position offers a base salary typically between $160,000 and $190,000.
